Beginner-mediate AcroYoga Immersion | September 12th
September 12th @ 11:00am-4:30pm
**Please arrive with plenty of time to find parking and walk to the practice space approximately a 7 minute walk from parking**
Join us for a playful and supportive day of introductory AcroYoga at our off-grid, nature-centered retreat in the stunning high desert just north of Smith Rock. This class is led by the owner and steward of Green Rock Retreat, Nicole-Amanda, who will guide you through the foundations of AcroYoga in a welcoming, community-focused environment.
No experience is necessary, and no partner is required. Whether you're completely new to AcroYoga or simply curious to explore movement, connection, and trust, this class is designed to meet you where you are. This class will be consent-based at its foundation , and therefore we will spend time throughout the course practicing and reinforcing verbal consent, communication, and checking in with ourselves and our partners. We'll rotate partners throughout the day, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere where everyone can learn together and feel comfortable at the same time.
The day begins with a 2-hour morning session, introducing the basic principles of basing, flying, spotting, and effective communication. Take a 1.5 hour break for lunch with time to relax, explore the land, take a dip in the splash pool, rest in the shade, or connect with fellow participants. Pack your own lunch, we have lots of refrigerator space and an outdoor kitchen at your disposal.
We'll return for another 2-hour afternoon session, building on the morning's skills through playful flows, partner exercises, and confidence-building techniques.
Come experience movement, laughter, and connection surrounded by expansive desert skies, native landscapes, and the peaceful rhythm of off-grid living. All you need to bring is comfortable active wear clothing, lunch and any snacks you may need, a water bottle, and a willingness to try something new.
